Regarding October meetup with Chana Wilson tomorrow

Hello, readers.

This is just a friendly reminder about tomorrow's meetup. Because of our guest author, it will be a bit different from our usual book club meetings. It will be a joint event with our host bookstore Books, Inc. This means that, in addition to our book club members, there will be a number of people from the general public (who may end up joining, if they have not already done so). There will be a period during which Chana will read a small portion of the book and engage in a Q&A. There will be also time for book signing. I am told to expect up to 50 or so people in addition to our members.

After that, we will regroup for the "book club" portion of the evening. Those who came only for the reading and book-signing will be able to leave, and, with the exception of the author being present with us, we will engage in our usual book discussion. Regardless of the additional activity, we will not go longer than our usual time.

As usual, I invite people to bring refreshments for our time together. As usual, I will bring at least one bottle of wine (though I am sure it will be a lonely bottle without any more . . . hint hint).

I am told that Chana is excited about joining us, and it will definitely add some flair to our usual affair.

Remember that we hold no expectations to have the book finished for our discussion. It is great to have you with us to enjoy your company.

Peace.

Gary
