Monthly Get Together with Tips & Tricks

United Methodist Church

Due to COVID-19 guidelines, we have canceled our in-person events for the foreseeable future and will be meeting virtually. We are also trying various methods to maintain our connection with you. Sign up here for this months' meeting https://www.ebhq.org/event-3883807 We will be discussing the guild's Lone Robin quilting game (part progressive quilt, part mystery quilt, and a whole lot of fun). There's still time to join in! Those who have created the first element can show theirs during the meeting. More details and an ever-growing album at https://www.ebhq.org/page-18201 In addition, we will be launching a fabric postcard exchange! Go beyond chatting and showing things on screen by sharing a little sample of your art with other Meet-up'ers in the real world. Participants will be matched randomly and exchange handmade fabric postcards through the mail. More details about this activity at https://www.ebhq.org/page-18212 If you haven't made a fabric postcard before, you will find some examples and a tutorial on Susan Dague's webpage https://susandaguequilts.wordpress.com/ebhq-postcards/ But that's not all! We'll also have some show and tell time. Share a project, whether complete or in progress, current or past. Hint: the best way to share your project is via screen sharing a photo(s). If you aren't comfortable with screen sharing, let me know and I can share for you. If there is something you want to learn or a topic you want to see covered in a tips and tricks demonstration, please let me know.

Montly Educational Meeting of EBHQ

Unitarian Universalist Church

$5.00

The East Bay Heritage Quilters guild has a monthly educational session on the last Monday of the month (with a few exceptions, noted at end). Each meeting has a social time starting at 6:30 pm (sometimes there is an activity and almost always some cookies), at 7:30 we do a little bit of guild business and then the remainder of the time is devoted to a featured speaker. Members as well as the public may attend. The meeting is no charge for members and $5 for guests. The location is the Unitarian Universalist Church in Kensington. It can be a bit tricky to find at first. A map is available at http://www.ebhq.org/speakers/map-to-general-meetings. The meeting day changes in the following months: no meeting in July or December. In May the meeting is held the next-to-last Monday because of Memorial Day.
