The East Bay Heritage Quilters guild has a general meeting on the last Monday of the month (with a few exceptions, noted at end). Each meeting has a social time starting at 6:30 pm (sometimes there is an activity and almost always some cookies), at 7:30 we do a little bit of guild business and then the remainder of the time is devoted to a featured speaker.
This month's speaker is Bobbie Berquist on the topic of "Not Your Traditional Quilting." Bobbie will share many innovative techniques she has developed over the past 14 years to create fabrics that can be used in all kinds of quilts, clothing, home décor, and more. Bobbie will also teach workshops on dying and creating marbled fabric on 1/28 & 1/30. For details about workshops, see http://www.ebhq.org/classes .
Members as well as the public may attend. The meeting is no charge for members and $5 for guests.
The location is the Unitarian Universalist Church in Kensington. It can be a bit tricky to find at first. A map is available at http://www.ebhq.org/speakers/map-to-general-meetings. The meeting day changes in the following months: no meeting in July or December. In May the meeting is held the next-to-last Monday because of Memorial Day.
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.
