- Giant Raid on Broken-Finger: West Marches Season 2 W/DM Max (SuperCommoner)
Giant Raid on Broken-Finger
DM: Max
Levels: 5+ Dangerous Combat!
Trade Points for Porto Sicuro: 5-10
Adventure Description:
Our reconnaissance reports told of a massive Giant raid upon our Goliath allies in the Stormlands of Kald, in violation of treaty. The time of the raid is upon us now, and Prince Virhan has called upon our help once more!Frost Jarl Gilith and Chieftainess of Stone Srezzar have united in common purpose. Their tribes will wreak terrible violence upon the village near the Spire of Broken Fingers–and the Goliath army is expected to respond with a strong defense.
However, our adventure reports reveal that the giants will use fog and the shoulder of the mountain to hide their approach. They may very likely try a flanking maneuver–and a few well-placed giants could do a lot of damage to the scattered dwellings and Goliaths in the region. Thus, Prince Virhan has requested our aid with a few elite adventurers to forestall this potential flanking maneuver and reduce the enemy raiders at a critical location.
In addition, the Adventurer’s Hall has another mission for you. We have reason to suspect that dark forces have been trying to get ahold of giant corpses, as part of their corruption of the isles of the West Marches. Obviously, no good can result of such an outcome, and we greatly fear what may happen; so be on the lookout for this activity, and if an opportunity arises to investigate–seize it! Bonus rewards available upon completion.
Notes:
- This will be a combat-heavy adventure, although some exploration, skill challenges, RP, and even puzzles may show up.
- In combat and skill checks, I usually employ a deeply tactical style, including Flanking rules, a grid, and 3.5e-style diagonals.
- Sometimes, a more narrative style is called for.
- Content warning for descriptions of D&D violence.
