What we're about

My dog Olly and I love going out for a walk in the wonderful Sussex countryside but we like a bit of company so we invite you to join us. \

Walks will usually be between 7 to 10 miles but I throw in the occasional longer walk when I have time. I organise a walk approximately every ten days as that fits my shift pattern along with a few extra walks here and there. \

Anyone and everyone is welcome to join us however if you are bringing your dog you should be aware that my dog takes time to be comfortable around other dogs (he loves people however). He stays on his lead and so long as other dogs leave him alone he will be fine.

Circular walk from Chailey - 7 miles

Needs a location

£1 minimum donation (see below) from walkers please.

This is a lovely walk through the wilds(!) of Chailey. We circle north of Chailey as far as Scaynes Hill making use of the Sussex Border Path. Then we make our way south finishing by crossing the commons around North Chailey.

Walk is 6.97 miles
Total ascent is 541ft
Time to walk is 3hrs 3mins (at 2.5mph) + time at the pub!

IMPORTANT Please read
Sadly I do not have time to test walks prior to leading them so I often may never have walked them before. I can't guarantee that the walk won't have to be modified or that we won't end up walking further than planned however nothing much has gone wrong so far!
These walks are aimed at people who are used to walking 5+ miles at a fairly brisk rate.
Please dress for the weather and when it’s been raining expect mud! Make sure you wear sensible footwear such as walking boots and don't forget to bring water in the summer.
Dogs are welcome but they will need to spend much of the walk on the lead as we go through a lot of farm land. My own dog loves people but he isn't too great with dogs he doesn't know; he will always be on the lead but you will need to keep your dog away from him.
Everyone is responsible for their own safety during the walk and must follow the Countryside Code.
I am using these walks to fund raise a house for my sponsored child in Uganda so I ask for donations - £1 minimum per walk per person would be great.

Date for your diary….next walk (approx 10 miles)
