What we're about

My dog Olly and I love going out for a walk in the wonderful Sussex countryside but we like a bit of company so we invite you to join us.

Walks will usually be between 5 to 10 miles but I throw in the occasional longer walk when I have time. I organise a walk every ten days as that fits my shift pattern along with a few extra walks here and there.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to join us however if you are bringing your dog you should be aware that my dog takes time to be comfortable around other dogs (he loves people however). He stays on his lead and so long as other dogs leave him alone he will be fine.

Walk from Devils Dyke 👿 - 9 miles

Location visible to members

** NOTE THAT THE DATE HAS CHANGED AGAIN!!** Sadly no pub meetup after the walk due to current restrictions. This walk is limited to twelve which is going to be made up of two groups of six. Can we please avoid interaction between the different groups before the walk and remember to keep a distance between everyone during the walk. This walk is from Devils Dyke (bring change for the car park if you’re not a NT member) and there will be some hills en route! Please wear sensible clothing and shoes for walking especially if it’s raining. IMPORTANT Please read I have not done this walk before, sadly I don’t have time to check each walk first so the route may have to be modified mid walk and I can’t guarantee that we won’t end up walking further than planned. However nothing has gone badly wrong so far!! Also the time taken for the walk is based on OS maps estimate rounded up - it doesn’t take into account rest stops or looking at amazing scenery (or getting lost!) - we might take longer than estimated. Please dress for the weather and make sure you have appropriate footwear. Dogs are welcome but they will need to spend some of the walk on the lead as we go through a lot of farm land. I will be bringing my dog who isn't great with other dogs, he stays on his lead but you will need to keep your dog away from him. Everyone is responsible for their own safety on the walk and should follow the Countryside Code. I am using these walks to fund raise for a home for my sponsored daughter in Uganda so I am asking for donations - £1 minimum per walk per person would be great!
