  • Stunning Serbia (7 Days - 25th May 2019)

    Explore Serbia with us! 25 May 2019 - Day 1 – Arrive Belgrade Today you will arrive in Belgrade. There are no activities planned for today but a welcome dinner will be arranged. Day 2 - Belgrade After breakfast, we will start a walking tour of the city. We will visit the the ruins of the Belgrade Fortress, The Temple of St Sava and then wander round the bohemian Skadarlija Street area where we will stop for lunch. The rest of the day is free to maybe visit one of the many museums or take in the scenery on a river cruise. Day 3 – Belgrade / Topola / Oplenac / Zlatibor After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for Topola, a town situated on the slopes of Oplenac. Here you can see the Church of St. George, which was built as a temple and mausoleum of the Karadjordjevic Royal Family. After lunch, continue your journey to Zlatibor, a beautiful mountainous region with strong traditions and great hospitality. Overnight in Zlatibor. Day 4– Zlatibor / Mokra Gora After breakfast at the hotel, begin your tour to the village of Mokra Gora. Once you have explored the village, you will board the famous dinky train for a ride along an exciting section of narrow gorge line, a line which once connected Belgrade with Sarajevo. Next, you will visit the ‘ethno village’ in Sirogojno before heading back to Zlatibor where you will spend the night. Day 5 – Zlatibor / Uvac After breakfast, you will depart to Zlatar Mountain, a mountain in south west Serbia above the city of Nova Varos, 270km away from Belgrade. It is surrounded by rivers Lim, Uvac, Milesevska and Bistrica. This nature reserve, with it’s wonderful scenery and clear waters, rich with fish, is the perfect place to take a boat ride on the River Uvac. Afterwards, proceed to Zlatibor Mountain for free time and individual activites. Overnight in Zlatibor. Day 6 – Zlatibor / Tara National Park / Bajina Basta / Belgrade After breakfast, you will depart for the Tara National Park. From here, continue to Bajina Basta to visit a Rakia Distillery, where you can taste the local brandy with snacks. Starting at Sameba Cathedral, the city’s main cathedral, heading to Meteki Church, from here you will take the cable car to the Narikala Fortress. Visit Abanotubani, Peace Bridge, Rike Park and wander down the old town streets. Overnight in Tbilisi. Day 3 – Tbilisi / Kakheti After breakfast, drive to the Kakheti Region, ‘the cradle of wine’. Visit a local wine house in the Kakheti Village, where you will not only learn about the history of Georgian wine, but also the process. Participate in a Kakhetian bread-making masterclass, where you will learn to make traditional Georgian sweets. Taste some of the local wines and have a traditional lunch made from fresh local produce. After lunch, we will head to Sighnaghi surrounded by the beautiful Alazani Valley. Walk the city walls of Dubrovnik, spend an afternoon enjoying the Old Town of Kotor and the Lady of the Rocks in Montenegro, and marvel at the reconstructed Old Bridge in the Old City of Mostar. This trip is based in Dubrovnik so you will also be able to enjoy the Croatian nightlife at the heart of the Adriatic. June 5th - Day 1 – Arrive Dubrovnik (Depart Gatwick 0645 / Arrive Dubrovnik 1025) Upon arrival, proceed to your hotel to get checked-in. After lunch, you will begin your sightseeing tour of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Please make sure you are ready to leave for the city tour at 2pm. Dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant in the old town for the evening. Day 2 – Montenegro After breakfast, you will begin your journey to must-see Montenegro, where you will spend the day. Here, you can spend the morning exploring the local area and the afternoon swimming in the clear blue Adriatic Sea. Although Montenegro is a relatively small country, it is rich in history, culture and cuisine, and just a few hours’ drive from Dubrovnik. Dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant in the evening. Overnight in Dubrovnik. Day 3 – Dubrovnik Day at leisure to explore the Old Town further, perhaps take a walk around the City Walls (we advise you do this early to avoid the crowds) or just relax on one of Dubrovnik’s beautiful beaches. Dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant for your last evening together. Day 4 – Bosnia & Herzegovina After breakfast you will travel to the historic town of Mostar, in neighbouring Bosnia & Herzegovina, where you will spend an afternoon. You will visit the Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century and now one of the country’s most recognisable landmarks, and also see many Turkish houses and mosques for a truly east-meets-west experience. Dinner in Dubrovnik. Overnight in Dubrovnik. Day 5 - Dubrovnik Day at leisure in Dubrovnik. Dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant for your last evening together. 10th June - Day 6 – Depart Dubrovnik After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your international flights.     Explore St Petersburg and Moscow with us! Day 1 – Saturday 20 July 2019 - Arrive St. Petersburg Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check-in. Dinner will be arranged for the first day. Day 2 - St. Petersburg After breakfast, city tour of St. Petersburg. Walk through the streets of the Dostoevsky Quarter. Go to one of the best food markets, Kuznechny Market, which supplies to some of St. Petersburg’s top restaurants. Visit House of St. Peter the Great, St. Peter’s & Paul Cathedral, and Church on Spilled Blood, and then have the afternoon free to explore. Overnight in St. Petersburg. Day 3 – St. Petersburg After breakfast, travel south of St. Petersburg to Pushkin. Visit Catherine Palace. Transfer back to city and afternoon will be spent at your leisure. Overnight in St. Petersburg. Day 4 –St. Petersburg / Moscow After breakfast, hotel check-out and store bags in luggage room. Visit Hermitage Museum - home of Russian art and culture. Visit Saint Isaac’s Cathedral and get panoramic views – if you can manage the 211 steps! Back to hotel to pick up luggage and walk to St. Petersburg’s Train Station (5-minute walk from hotel) to catch high-speed train to Moscow. Hotel transfer for check-in. Overnight in Moscow. Day 5 - Moscow After breakfast, full day city tour of Moscow’s historical centre, starting with a tour of Moscow Metro. Visit UNESCO World Heritage Site of Red Square. Visit Novodevichy Convent.
