Tapas: Dinner at Rayuela

Rayuela is a Latin fusion restaurant with great food in a chic, light environment.

Rayuela has a full menu, but we'll focus on the tapas section.

Attendees are asked to throw in a deposit of $10.  The money will go towards your share of the final bill.  We will split the bill evenly.

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been pretty busy and didn't followed up on this idea. Haven't heard from Leslie or Cameron. But if you guys are still up for it, I'll be happy to spearhead it if there's enough interest.
Hope all is well with everyone.

It would be very difficult to leave Aquavit at below $80 per person, and that's without doing either of the tasting menus, which are the backbone of the restaurant.

Smorgas Chef looks reasonable and they have 3 locations. It sounds like they have a few small dishes that we can try tapas style and a few main course that we may be able to do as family style. Aquavit is more elegant of course from the price and the awards they have accrue. What do you guys think? Maybe in consideration for a potential spot if we have enough interests? Leslie, Cameron?

Haha, I've been to Ikea cafe a few times. Like to expand beyond the $1.99 Swedish meatball special. Lets go do it sometime soon??

Ikea! J/k. Quick yelp search revealed Smorgas Chef in West Village and Aquavit.

I don't know much about them beyond Swedish meat ball and gravlax. Anyone know of a good place to try or can it even be done as a "tapas" event?

Now I'm intrigue by Scandinavian food from hearing Ritesha and Linda. Is that worth while exploring sometime down the road?

Great fun, as always. Conversation flowed as smoothly as the sangria! Thanks again to Leslie and Cameron for organizing it.

Ugh! This is right by my apartment, but I don't get off work near early enough for this one. Have fun, it's good for tapas!
