Celebrating the Legacy of Beth Hollenbeck

The Eco Action team is deeply grieved by the passing of our founding Director, Beth Hollenbeck.

Beth's love and passion for the environment and its creatures shone through in all that she did. Her dedication, perseverance and fearlessness as a leader has gifted our Central Florida community a legacy of inspired and transformed ECO warriors.

Join us as we honor and remember our hero, Beth Hollenbeck, with a special cleanup and celebration of her life and legacy.

As always, please consider doing your part today to help your local environment however you can... for the critters, and for Beth...

If you would like to contribute in any way or have any questions, please contact Sophia [masked]).

I thought it was a very sweet tribute to Beth that was set up by her co-organizers.

I did not speak, as I am sick & coughing much, but wonderful to hear & see everyone. Many good memories.

Cannot shake a cold, so I am unable to join in. Thinking of all of you at this time.

I have an inflatable kayak I use when I go out by myself. I will bring that to use and you don't have to worry about a canoe for me. Sherry

Thanks, Sherry! We encourage everyone who has their own vessel to please use it that day as we have many interested persons, but only about a dozen canoes.

The cleanup starts at 1pm? Just making sure that's correct since it's not usual.

      I was wondering, too.

Yes, thanks for checking. As it's a special event, it's at the later time.

Any chance I can reserve two canoes? I have already reserved one for myself, this request does not include the canoe for me. I have two friends who would like to join us. Are there two left?

Aime; thank you for asking . We are still looking to figure out the best way to reserve the canoes, since we want to make sure Beth's closest friend can have a canoe, specially those who are coming from out of state for the memorial. I will get back to you soon.

I understand 🦋 and agree with that. I will give mine up if a family or close friend of Beth is coming from far away to be there. I don't mind walking along the shore.

Yes! Will make a reservation under your name .

  • Joanne

Don't reserve a canoe for me. I will bring my own.

I definitely would like to join in, is there a way to reserve a canoe as I do not own one. Thank you for doing this to honor Beth.
