  • Super Eco Heroes & App Share: EdTech Orlando January

Hello EdTech Enthusiast! We're looking forward to an amazing night of demos and discussion! We hope you'll join us. If you'd like to demo your product, share a presentation, or lead a discussion at an upcoming meetup, just drop us a line with your information. Still looking for another speaker for January's Meetup due to a cancellation. If not we can have an app share! LOOKING FOR A COUPLE GREAT SPEAKERS AND SPONSORS FOR THIS MEETUP AND FUTURE MEETUPS IN 2017. Jose Contreras will be showcasing his game, Super Eco Heroes. It's a game that empowers kids to tackle climate change. It tells a story of a group of rogue bots that are littering parks around town. The super eco-heroes are called in to clean up. They have the help of these awesome bots with special powers you can use in the game. The trash you gather can be recycled and turned into upgrades for your bots. Through the game, we show kids that recycling trash can make a place beautiful and be a useful way to make new things. Our stretch goal is to have an incentive system to have them recycle in real life to get extra points in the game as they build healthy environmental habits. The game is still in the middle of the development cycle so there are plenty of things to improve and would love feedback from educators and gamers.
