I believe Edu-Tech can change the world - both locally and globally. If you mean this meetup group, that too. On the smaller, more restricted scale, however, I'm interested in meeting other people passionate about learning and technology, sharing and hearing innovative ideas, and discovering new ways to serve a variety of student populations.
All of the above - I'm an instructional technologist with the UW, an edu enthusiast, an amateur mnemonicist, and a passionate learner.
By day, an Instructional Technologist at UW, by night, a Masters Student in Educational Psychology with interests in cognitive science, memory, and learning design. Oh, and I'm an amateur mnemonicist, and want to learn everything. Too little time...
Primarily focused on K-12 EdTech, the Seattle Ed Tech meetup is one of the most diverse groups of Educational Technology thinkers I have met, ranging from teachers to interested technologists with no technical expertise, the members are primarily focused on K-12 but happy to dive into conversations about MOOCs, University and College technologies, personal experience and research.
