Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve Third Saturday Nature Walk December 2016
What about all that Moss?
Description: What sort of plant is moss? We often see it, but rarely look at it carefully. How is like or unlike other plants, or lichens? What role does it play in the forest and grasslands? Who uses moss? We will take a walk with stops to look closely at certain sites where mosses grow and appreciate why they are there. Will you learn to identify mosses? Maybe some. Will you learn how interesting moss can be? Definitely! Bring a hand lens if you have one!
Come join Edgewood Park docent Rebecca Reynolds for a fun Nature Walk as we learn about all that Moss.
