Yo ho ho, merry Christmas!
Well, it's certainly been a busy year - I've been having a look through our schedules for the past 12 months and we've covered a fair bit of ground in terms of film discussions, cinema trips, success (or otherwise) at film quizzes and even a few more leftfield events - more restaurant trips next year? And of course, it's always great to see so many familiar and new faces, so long may that continue.
Anyway, it seems a good time for a Christmas drinky-do - a chance to meet somewhere for some festive socialising, maybe tempt along a few of those who have yet to attend an event, and share a bit of festive cheer over a mulled wine or two. If you want to keep it film-related, we can always chat about festive movies or wear novelty jumpers.
Akva is a lovely place, as those of you who went there for last Christmas can attest - if you've ever been to Boda / Victoria / Sofi's / Hemma, it's run by the same folks. This is principally a drinks event, but if people are interested in food then let me know and I'll see what they can do for us.
Hope to see a good few of you there!
WAITING LIST - this is a space-limited event, so please remember to amend your RSVP at the earliest opportunity if you need to cancel, to ensure that someone else can go in your place. Meetup now operate a compulsory waiting list, so if you find yourself on it please remember that spaces can open up any time before RSVPs close and you may find yourself going to the event at short notice. If you're on the waiting list then please keep an eye on your notifications - I would recommend checking a day or two before the event, if you won't be able to attend at that point should a space open up, please remove yourself from the waiting list. Your help is, as ever, much appreciated!
