As usual our events are free of charge and not ticketed, however we are anticipating the event to be busy and though it is bigger than our usual venue we don't want to turn people away. Please get there early and we will be issuing queue tokens from 6:30 onwards. These will allow you to have a drink in the bar and not have to queue for an hour. We will be asking for a donation to help cover costs and to promote the work of the Edinburgh Skeptics Society.
Please confirm your attendance to help us gauge numbers.
The Skeptics Guide to the Universe is one of the world’s longest running and most popular skeptical podcasts; releasing regular weekly episodes full of interviews, news, features, facts & fiction as well as amazing science since 2005. Steve, Cara, Evan, Bob and Jay have all agreed to do an event in Scotland and Edinburgh Skeptics Society are proud to host their first ever Scottish event. Make a space in your diary to join us. The Rogues will be interviewed by regular guest rogue and friend of the Society, Prof. Richard Wiseman, live on stage. You will have a chance to ask questions, take part in a "Science or Fiction" or maybe even have a “Quickie with Bob”.
The SGU have released their eagerly anticipated book The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe: How to Know What's Really Real in a World Increasingly Full of Fake and you have chance to get a signed copy hot off the presses.
