Walk the Westend Wildlands
Meet inside the Hawrelak Park Pavilion (skating shack) next to the pond/lake at 6:30 PM to leave by 6:40 PM. PLEASE NOTE : Google map is NOT accurate. Just park at the main parking lot next to the ice sculptures. If folks sign up (even 1), I will attend as an organizer. If no one is signed up by noon, I will cancel. This event is intended to get away from city traffic and explore areas along the River. Distances will generally be between 7-10 km, with some up and down as we may wander off the main trail. Please bring proper footwear, including ice cleats as needed, as well as warm clothing, and a couple of dollars for coffee if you wish. Please note that the organizer knows the area well, but is not a professional guide and accepts no responsibility for injury or other negative event that might occur during the hike.
