The weekly walk continues with our Thursday walking group....we will meet at the overflow parking lot across from the Royal Glenora Club at 6.15pm and leave at 6.30pm sharp. The parking lot is right by the river. We will walk for at least 90 minutes. Please come dressed for the conditions. You can RSVP for this walk only after 9:00pm Thursday, following the previous week's walk. If you RSVP that you are attending a walk and cannot attend, please try to cancel your RSVP by noon on the day of the walk. If there are insufficient numbers at that time (ie. less than 4), the walk will be cancelled. Please Note: A $2.00 charge per walk is now in effect. This charge will be in effect until enough funds have been raised to cover our annual Meetup web site costs (probably sometime in August). Please try to have the correct change. Thank you.

Meet at Fort Edmonton Park Parking lot (west end near the buildings). Please meet at 6:30 PM for a 6:40 start. PLEASE NOTE : * Google map is NOT accurate. * If no one is signed up by noon on Tuesday, I may cancel. * PLEASE change your RSVP IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT. This is a casual walk with frequent stops for natural and cultural items of interest. Main purpose is to get away from city traffic and explore areas along the River. Distances will generally be between 7-10 km, with some up and down as we may wander off the main trail. Please bring proper footwear and clothing, bug and sun lotion, walking sticks, and perhaps gators. Ticks are around and we often walk in grass. Please note that the organizer knows the area well, but is not a professional guide and accepts no responsibility for injury or other negative event that might occur during the hike.
