Searching for Sugar Man

At the Stanley Milner Library, the weekly film series continues this month with more great selections. The screenings are FREE!

Searching for Sugar Man is playing on the 13th. Who would like to join me?

The show starts at 6:30pm. Meeting time is 6:15pm outside the theatre. The theatre is in the basement of the library. I will have a bouquet of artificial flowers with me so that you can identify me.

Enjoyed this film, and the company. Great chat afterwards, too! Thanks to everyone who came on out.

I have no idea what this is about, but the attendees seem to have a semblance of good taste. Also, the audience participation at the library events is often more entertaining than the film. I'm in.

Yes! Sugar Man...called by some to be better than Bob Dylan, same league as John Lennon as a songwriter. Unknown in North America...bigger than the Beatles and the Rolling Stones in the 1970s in South Africa. Credited with advancing the cause of ending Apartheid with his music...2 albums made in 1972/73....worth seeing a second time...see ya'll there!
