The Mission of the Club

To provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

About the Club

The first meeting of Eglinton-Yonge Toastmasters [then Unity] took place in January 24, 2007, and we officially chartered as a Toastmasters Club on March 27, 2008. We are a diverse group of committed and friendly people from many different backgrounds, ages and occupations... this always makes for fascinating and fun topics, speeches and meetings.

One of the most important qualities you will discover at Eglinton-Yonge Toastmasters is we have a very supportive and friendly environment. You can learn vital skills and gain experience in these areas:

* Effective communication,
* Public speaking and presentations,
* Practical team leadership,
* Conducting efficient meetings,
* Critical thinking,
* Active listening, and
* Providing evaluation and feedback.
