19:05 " Elasticsearch as the driver behind the upcoming online banking solution of ERSTE Bank in Austria " by Michael Jakl and Frank Peter (s IT Solutions)
In this talk we show how ERSTE Bank uses Elasticsearch to power parts of our online banking solution. From getting data into the system, over failover scenarios, and finally how we deal with queries from the outside. We show some challenges we had, the solutions we found, and what compromises we had to make.
*Michael completed his studies at the Databases and Artificial Intelligence group at the University of Technology in Vienna, after starting his own company and some small to medium search-based software projects, he joined forces with BeeOne as the principal engineer for the upcoming online banking solution.
*Frank is originally from South Africa and did his B.Sc Hons in Mathematical Science at the Rand Afrikaans University in Johannesburg and has been with the Erste Group for 10 years now developing on Internet banking and Brokerage solutions.

Andriy will tell us about how he used Elasticsearch in CRM application made with Rails and MongoDB.

Othmar as a UI/UX concept brain of projects will give us insight on mental model of search from the perspective of a designer.
*Othmar is a designer at kultig Werbeagentur and photographer based in Wels. Othmar is currently traveling the world for a personal book project, called The LEO Book.
