Hi elasticsearchers, long time no meet,

The Elastic training team is town on Tuesday May 17 for a `Hands-On Workshop with Elasticsearch, Logstash & Kibana`. The team offered to speak to our meetup group and we gladly agreed.

The Elastic team will provide an overview of the recent announcements from ElasticON 16 (https://www.elastic.co/elasticon/conf/2016/sf), including a summary of the features for the entire Elastic Stack.

We will reserve the second half of the meetup for an open discussion with Q&A, so come with lots of questions!

Speakers:

Nathan Zamecnik, works at Elastic as "Education Manager" and creates and teaches numerous courses on Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana. He previously worked at MongoDB and at other companies as a software engineer with a background in C++, JavaScript & C#.

Patrick Wendorf, joined Elastic from the big data world, and has 10 year history in startups in Ontario. His focus has been scalable, high performance data architecture.

Saud Rehman, has been working with Elastic as "solutions consultant" for a year and has been using the Elastic stack since 2012.

We have a limited number of places in the meeting room provided by our wonderful hosts, and we are currently fully booked. If you RSVPed and know you won't make it, please delete your RSVP to allow others to attend. I will update if there are any changes w.r.t availability.

Meetup starts at 6:30pm. Presentation begins at 7pm. See you there.
