I am new to the group, but would like to join officially for the $20.00. I live way in the West in Oakville, and it wouldn't be practical for me to travel to anywhere near Toronto downtown let alone the East on the e-Bike (not to mention the battery might not make it). For next year as one member put it, it would be nice to have a meeting in the West end of the GTA near Mississauga or Oakville for that matter. One thing I did get to take the e-Bike distances is a carrier that fits my SUV hitch to a tee, and has a capacity of 500lbs and a total length limit to 76", nice for those larger e-Bikes. So getting to the East is possible, just not as a rider to the meeting place. But more central or west would be nice for a couple of meetings. I look forward to meeting some new people and making some friends in the e-Bike arena. They are fun if nothing else!

Vienna Rocket- I`m new to E-Scooters, I ride CBR900rr, Vino 125cc, working on a Dio. 1st ? Law of driving /riding is whiskey on, back brake off. So I disconnected the back brake to the motor. Way better take offs and easier to climb over curbs. My 1st ? is when I winterised my scooter with E-tape and silicone spray I found a extra power cored ? can I run another power pack ?. I had problems with my chain falling off so I removed the shim bolt/nut and turned the motor over to see where the sprocket wanted to sit and took a grinder to the shaft LoL that was easy. Tape the battery/all connectors. Look forward to any fixes / upgrades.

I admire most e-bikers for different reasons. It's to me like being humble or down to earth. In our own way saying I love planet earth .

Great to see the members. We even had a new man that found us on the internet that lives way out in the very East End of the G.T.A.( by the Metro Zoo). He road his E Bike all the way, to the West End. To meet us and make his membership real. By making a $20.donation and singing up for his membership card. His name is Rudy Marks and was a pleasure to meet and have as card holding member of this group. Rudy it was nice to meet you and have you as a true member of T.E.R.A

The meetings are in the wrong spots. Most places you have no direct line of sight to your e-bike. I guess its OK if you have a throw away e-scooter since they are not much more than $1,500. There are plenty of spots in Etobicoke and Mississauga that have large outdoor patios with line of sight to where you park your e-bike.

I think this group is fantastic to anyone who wants to be kept well informed and up-to-date in the power assisted bike category. One thing though, we got an awesome leader like Lock to lead the way(360 degree point of view for every opinion posted). More power to The Toronto Electric Riders Association, as they say in Filipino "Mabuhay ang TERA". (Translated "Long live TERA")

What do you think of Toronto Electric Riders Association is one good place to learn from others and meet others.. Like to tell any members that may have a brake like a motorcycle That will say ( to use only dot 3 or dot 4 brake fluid.) I'm told that Dot 5 is better and safer as well to use Then ether dot 3, or dot 4, its Do its silicone brake fluid. On the bottle tells you! It will not damage plaint surfaces. As well I will say most plastic, on most e-bikes and or any motorcycle, Be Ware that will get damage if ether dot 3, or dot 4, brake fluid Gets spilled or leaked on seen and had some plaint / other surfaces get damaged,
