Yes I remember as a school kid - showing off by swearing in Morse code - I have a range of VSWR meters to check out the matching but I think someone at your favourite Greensbrough radio club might also be able to help - tell them I sent you .... ! (p.s. I will have to watch my dots and dashes in my replies now )

Good for me but your comments count: we went across printer motors with Li-ion cells, metal detectors, re-using LEDs from kettles, introduction to AC waveforms along with amateur radio licence constant current generators and japanese ASCII - see photos.

hey mike, just a question, Will i damage a 10meter band radio using an antenna made for 78cm?

oops pressed the return too soon - do you have a VSWR meter for the band the radio transmits on ? start off at lowest power possible and wind up very slowly. You could use a tuner in (one) theory but you ought to check the antenna out on an analyser first - so overall the answer would be NO until many tests have been made. posing the question with frequencies reversed would be different. Just busy ATM with preparation for meetup at noon. See discussion board for amateur radio course possibilities....
