What we're about

This group was created to offer support to those that are parenting a child with ADHD/ADD or to those that are struggling with ADHD/ADD themselves. A formal diagnosis is not required to participate in the group, as it is educational in nature and meant to be an open learning environment.

Parents, spouses, teachers...all are welcome! We do ask that you leave children at home. There is not currently childcare available. There will be a monthly meeting to start with a different topic/focus for each meeting. Topics that will be included are: ADHD and education-504's and IEP's, accommodations, twice-exceptional/gifted, common ADHD behaviors and strategies, social skills, brain science research, substance abuse, co-morbid conditions, executive function, emotions-frustration, anxiety, opposition, anger, sibling support, parents with ADHD raising kids with ADHD, holistic-exercise, diet, sleep issues, essential oils, vitamins/supplements, meditation, mindfulness, impulsivity-stealing, lying, medications-alternatives, effects on growth, cardiac risk, motivation, organization, resources and more. Your input in regards to topics is valued. Feel free to contribute ideas for topics you'd like to see covered.
