What we're about
Upcoming events (5+)
We are reading Aphrodite's Daughters, Women's Sexual Stories and the Journey of the Soul by Jalaja Bonheim. We have had some great discussions and we are about half way thru the book. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday mornings. The book is full of thought provoking info/statements and you will not feel left out beginning near the middle of the book.
Let's have tea or coffee at Jason's Deli and color and chat. I'll bring a variety of pages to color from a circle on a page to create a mandala to various quite intricate premade mandala coloring pages. Select from them or bring your own page(s) to color. For your own creations crayons work great, for the other choices you may want fine or medium tip markers or colored pencils. In other words, bring what you want to use to fill in the spaces with. The purpose of Tea and Coloring is to Be with a group of people who are not expecting anything out of you except acceptance, and as Empaths , accepting others takes little or no effort. So, a place to play with creativity and the "right" and "wrong" way to fill in spaces and initiate and/or join in on conversations, or not. There is no right or wrong except respect is expected.
This book is by Dawna Markova. The subtitle is Reclaiming Purpose and Passion. Attend when you can. Join us in reading and discussing the book whenever any of us have a desire to discuss a particular point(s) further. The ending time is not exact. We will end sometime between 8:30 and 9 pm.
Hilda Kirschner (one of our members) is having an art opening of her mono prints at La Luna restaurant downtown. And you are invited. My info says the building number is 319 and this says 317, either way it is at the corner of 5th and Lead. It has 2 places to park from Lead, the parking lots are adjacent to each other.
