This is a group for anyone trying to learn themselves and create a social life for themselves after the kiddos have grown up and left the nest. Empty nesting has been described as a period in which depression, sadness, and grief occur after their children leave for college, military or just out to begin living their own lives outside of us. From the time we became parents, many of us were taught that our lives no longer belonged to us and that our children come first. As selfless as that sounds, unfortunately, many of us were never told what to do when our children grew up and began their own lives outside of us. So let’s figure it out together. There are so many things to do that we do not have to sit around the house sad, depressed and grieved trying to figure out this next phase of life. Hope to see you soon.
