September Film Screening - James McCoy “An Evening of Independent Documentary Film with James McCoy” Fall is just around the corner and we’re just getting started with some great events. Come join us for an evening of independent documentary film from local filmmaker James McCoy as we celebrate a private screening of James new documentary film ‘More Joy Less Pain’ Our guest musician will be Reggie Webster. And to top off the evening we have special guest pop-up chef Victor V who will be serving up some incredible culinary treats for the evening. Come celebrate a complete evening of documentary film from filmmaker James McCoy, absolutely incredible culinary cuisine and great music by Reggie Webster as we explore the many colorful and artful experiences of our incredible city we so proudly call Funky Town! UNITE! ENGAGE! CELEBRATE! Documentary Film Synopsis - More Joy Less Pain More Joy Less Pain is a documentary about a man living in two worlds with one foot in Texas and the other in Peru. The film explores the life of writer Peter Gorman and his travels to Peru for the past 35 years. Peter has lived in Joshua, Texas for the past 15 years and is currently a writer for the Ft. Worth Weekly. More Joy Less Pain follows Peter's life with family and friends in Texas, and gives the audience a look at what it's like to go on one of his jungle trips to Peru.
