We will be doing the traditional hike from the Lower Macleay Trailhead to the Wildwood Trail and on up to Pittock Mansion. On the first leg we will only be taking a very short water break, giving a chance for first-timers to oooh and aaah over the view before heading back down. On the second trip to Pittock we'll take a longer food/snack break because we'll have earned it. On the third trip I guess it doesn't really matter because I expect to be the only person up there! Or maybe you think you have what it takes to complete all three?

It is also possible to jump onto the hike after it has started.  I expect to be leaving from Lower Macleay at both 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm on the way up to the mansion.  If there is any interest in doing so let me know and I'll make sure you have my phone number so that you can check on my progress to see how close to being back I am.

It's October so if there is the slightest chance of rain I'd suggest packing rain gear and hiking boots that can handle wet trails. Bring plenty of fluids or at least a container to put water in as there is a water fountain at Pittock Mansion and Lower Macleay Trailhead. There are bathrooms at both ends of the hike also.  Bring something to eat if you plan on doing more than the first trip up to Pittock.

If you are doing all three feel free to wear your "I Am Insane" button.

My phone number is[masked] so if you are only minutes away and want me to hold up a moment or if you are wanting to jump into the middle of the hike somewhere and need to find us, give me a call.

What a great idea! I'm booked, but I'd love to do it another time.
