Come early for a Nature Walk along the Memorial Park Prairie Remnant prior to the NPSOTH meeting. See native Sanguin Purple Coneflowers in bloom, a rare and lovely site.

We'll be meeting in the Pedestrian Bridge parking lot on the south side of Memorial Drive at 5:50pm. We'll take the bridge over Memorial Drive and walk along the prairie that runs along the north side of the power easement. We will return to the parking lot by 7 pm so everyone has plenty of time to get to the Arboretum for the NPSOTH meeting. We will spend most of our time on a path, but long pants and close-toed shoes are encouraged. You are also encouraged to bring insect repellent, water, and binoculars for possible bird sightings.
