This gathering is a time out for rest and renewal. Hanging out with the herd usually has the effect of settling our minds and bodies. From this quiet place, energy is restored and perspective clarified. We'll gather to introduce ourselves and discover what drew each of you to this Meetup. I go over a few things to do and not do when around horses. I speak to the many benefits of meditation and of the unique qualities that sitting with horses outside in nature brings. Sometime we interact with my horses bringing the calmness from our quiet time into the connection. Things to bring for sure: -Lawn chair -Water -Hat for shade -Sunscreen -Close toed boots or shoes

Ahhh, spring is stirring. Many of us are feeling called to get outside into nature, to feel the sun on our skin and the earth beneath our feet. Out in the field with the horses, natures sounds and rhythms have an immediate effect on minds and hearts. We meet from noon to 2pm. I'll start with how best to be with and around horses. I'll also give tips for sitting comfortably for those who may be new to meditation. I've been teaching yoga and meditation for 18 years, so I've got many tricks up my metaphysical sleeves. The horses flow into and through our circle freely and guests are invited to interact with them quietly. It's hard to describe why it often a profound experience. Horses live in present time, with deep and effortless awareness of the world around them. They invite us to join them in that subtle place- where being attentive whatever is unfolding in this moment is what matters. This month we'll be focusing on Breathing Practices that enhance our daily lives. Things to bring for sure: -Lawn chair -Water -Hat for shade -Sunscreen -Close toed boots or shoes
