  • A Prelude to Adventure Time (foundational praxis)

Praxis is the process by which a theory, lesson, or skill is enacted, embodied, or realized. "Praxis" may also refer to the act of engaging, applying, exercising, realizing, or practising ideas.

So this meetup is going to be the first prelude to some techniques we can work with before our eventual direction of field adventure and exploration.

We are going to take all of our current theoretical arm chair investigations and start putting it to work with some real world techniques while keeping up with some light research work towards the eventual goal of application.

As such, we are going to start with some basic foundations such as meditation and visualization. Here is some homework to learn and practice. We will cover some of this material and more in the meetup for the lazy slackers as well as the eternally busy, but it will be nice if people can come prepared with some experience. If you are already a practiced meditator, do it anyways (cause it's good for you). Any thoughts, questions, interests anyone has regarding meditation will be fair game during the meetup as well.

Some nifty instructions on some meditation technique courtesy of of Bluefluke's 'The Psychonaut Field Manual' pg 4-5.

And a great infographic I found awhile back on meditation.

That's all there is, do your homework and have some fun practicing and we'll see anyone who comes to the meetup.
