Esperanto Conversation for Beginners

  • to
  • Queen Street Commons Cafe

43 Queen Street S. , Kitchener, ON (map)

    43.449131 -80.489746

  • By bus: the cafe is a 5 minute walk from the Charles Street Terminal. Driving: construction downtown, but it looks like the Charles & Benton Street Parking Garage is still accessible. Closest parking lot: https://goo.gl/maps/WfSe2Vh924x
  • Please RSVP if you plan to attend (even if tentatively so) as a lack of RSVPs may indicate a need to reschedule this meeting to another day/time.

Please note that this meeting is not intended to be a course of instruction, but rather to give independent learners an opportunity to practice speaking/hearing Esperanto and ask questions in a safe, inclusive environment.

This meeting is flagged as being for beginners because, as a beginner myself, more advanced practice will depend on the experience and willingness of those who attend which may change from meeting to meeting. And so, whether you're fluent in Esperanto, a beginner, or have just recently heard of Esperanto and want to learn more, you are welcome to join us.

When you arrive, you can either ask staff about the Esperanto meeting or look for the table with a printed out Esperanto flag (a star). Also, although this meeting is scheduled for just one hour, we can stretch that to two hours should you want to stay longer.

Finally, for some great resources for learning Esperanto, please click this link.
