What we're about

Do you wish to improve your language learning skills, or meet members of an international community based around a the most successful intentionally constructed language, designed to serve as an easy to learn universal second language?

For those who wish to see Humanity thrive, and learn to get along, embracing our valuable differences rather than fighting over them, the Esperanto language offers a good place to start. This is meant to be an informal group where people can discuss the evolution of the Esperanto language since its inception, brainstorm about how to make the world a better place, meet people to teach Esperanto to, learn Esperanto from, or practice Esperanto with, discuss other constructed languages and how they relate to Esperanto, learn about other natural languages, and make new friends.

Lessons will be offered with elements for all in attendance, from basic vocabulary to general language skills and grammar, to exploring and understanding variations in orthography, including the orthography of the modern Esper' dialect of Esperanto, and the commonly used x-system and traditional Esperanto orthography.

Several meeting places are planned in and around Los Angeles, California, USA, to make it easier for people from various parts of the area to attend at least some of the time. Convenient times and dates for each location can be openly discussed here by anyone with a preference, a suggestion, any corrections, or an opinion to offer.
