Essex has long been known as a town where visitors come to stroll, shop, and spend the day in this beautiful colonial town. With historical staples as the Essex Steam Train, the Griswold Inn, the Connecticut River Museum, and a myriad of shops, this small Connecticut town offers a lot.
We are a group of studios and galleries at the top of Main Street on Essex Square and North Main that seek to coordinate events to augment enhance this trend and offer even more value to the visitor.
- The Essex Art Association (non-profit association for outreach on the arts) - The Melanie Carr Gallery (contemporary exhibit space and art educational facility) - Ben Parker Studio (origami studio and gallery with classes) - Earth and Fire (pottery studio and gallery with classes)
