Prior to joining BitGo, Ben worked at Microsoft on the conversation-understanding platform in Silicon Valley. He has been involved in startups since 2009 at home-grown Zopim (acq by Zendesk). https://www.linkedin.com/in/bencxr/ 2) Sergey Nazarov, Founder (CEO) Smart contracts are tracking to be the leading form of digital agreements for key global industries. The vast majority of useful smart contracts extend beyond the blockchain to connect with external sources including data feeds, web APIs, and traditional bank payments. These connected smart contracts access information feeds such as stock prices for financial trades, weather data for insurance contracts, server uptimes for SLAs, and much more. However, to maintain a connected smart contract’s overall reliability, the inputs and outputs to the contract also need to be secure. In this talk, we’ll define and examine what makes a secure oracle mechanism reliable enough for external data delivery, access to web APIs and off-chain payments. Other speakers: 3) Loi Luu, Founder CEO of Kyber 4) Shaun Djie, Co-founder, COO of Digix 5) Alex Lam, Co-founder, CEO of RockX 6) Siddhartha Dutta, Founder CEO of Marlin Come join us at the event, held at PayPal Singapore on the week of the Consensus Singapore series of events.

- Polkadot x KILT Protocol Keynotes
Dear all We have 2 keynotes slated for this event: Description of the first talk: Gavin Wood is back, this time presenting on the topic of "developing a network with true data interoperability". Description of the second talk: Ingo Rübe, who has successfully built companies and sustainable open-source communities (he is on the board of the Drupal Association with 1.3MM active community members) in his past, will talk about the experience using Substrate to build a trust market protocol and how KILT will fit into the Polkadot ecosystem. Being one of the first open protocols building on Substrate, KILT aims to restore trust in the internet by supporting the Polkadot ecosystem with critical infrastructure of a trust market (verifiable claims). In its first development phase, KILT provides an infrastructure for top-down trust, where companies and governments can easily deploy their structures on the KILT blockchain to drive adoption and developer usability. In the second phase, it will implement bottom-up trust structures as they are used by curating businesses like publishing and advisories with an infrastructure that will allow to launch such a business as a whole on the KILT blockchain. This event is jointly supported and organized by Digix, LongHash and PayPal Innovation Lab (venue partner). Do RSVP, come by with your questions and we look forward to seeing you here. - Organizers

- Accessing Ethereum: Evaluating Deployment Tooling
Session 1: Building on Ethereum: Why decentralization matters and the challenges of building with Akomba Labs Akoma Labs will talk about the need to decentralize and their extensive experience with Ethereum development. Akomba Labs is a blockchain technology research and advisory firm. They have built projects such as Project Halo, a system to store, share, and interact with your own data with full certainty of who gets to see it and where it goes, and ether.cards, 'physical ether' that make use of NFC-enabled chips to fuse unique tokens with physical objects inseparably. Session 2: Evaluating Deployment Tooling with Chainstack Deploying a node is the first step one takes to gain access to the decentralized world of Ethereum. However, manual node deployment is a largely tedious process - unstable, time-consuming and costly. Cloud-based node deployment gateways offer quicker alternatives, but raises new issues of centralization. In this talk, Eugene Aseev, CTO of Chainstack, evaluates the conventional deployment tooling options that exist for Ethereum. He will also introduce how and why Chainstack has built Bolt, a patent-pending node synchronization technology that provides anyone a fully synched Ethereum node in minutes. Agenda 6:30pm: Registration 7:00pm: Andras Kristof, CEO of Akomba Labs David Appleton, Senior Advisor of Akomba Labs - The need to decentralize - Building on Ethereum 7:25pm: Eugene Aseev, CTO of Chainstack - Deployment tooling in Ethereum - Technical deep dive of Bolt, patent-pending node synchronization technology - Live demo with smart contract application 8:00pm: Q&A and Networking session Speakers Andras Kristof Andras is an entrepreneur. He has 20+ years of IT experience with building robust, scalable systems. After a successful exit from viki.com, he founded Tembusu Systems in 2013. Tembusu developed a distributed asset management system and subsequently raised investment from OUE Ventures. Andras is the founder of akomba.com. Akomba is a deep tech research and product development company. It is helping other companies and developing privacy technology and blockchain products. David Appleton David is an advisor to a number of start-ups on Ethereum smart contracts and their integration into business systems including Jetcoin Institute, Digital Development Fund, indorse.io, and others. He designed the Ethereum smart contract eco-system at HelloGold, a Fintech project to share the opportunity of saving in investment grade gold to those who were previously unable to afford it in order to hedge against currency fluctuations. David has spoken publically on developing smart contracts to business and technology-focused groups. Eugene Aseev Eugene Aseev is the CTO and co-founder of Chainstack. He has strong roots in engineering, cybersecurity, and research, with more than 10 years of experience in leading top R&D teams on a global scale. Eugene is passionate about driving innovation and building highly sophisticated products and technologies in multistakeholder environments. Prior to Chainstack, he held the role of VP of Engineering at Acronis where his contributions have led to the development of Acronis Active Protection and Acronis Notary. He also spearheaded the security research team at GeoEdge and headed the anti-malware team in a leading cybersecurity company. Eugene has worked with blockchain technologies for more than 3 years in projects involving research on blockchain for data protection and building production-grade solutions on Ethereum.
