“Living Green, No Longer Homeless! - A Sustainable Approach to Addressing Homelessness” will be presented by Timothy Sadler, a local social justice and environmental activist and entrepreneur at the Sunday, October 20th meeting of the Ethical Society of Asheville, 2:00-3:30 PM at the Friends Meeting House, 227 Edgewood Road in North Asheville (off Merrimon Avenue near UNCA). Sadler will give an overview of Eagle Acres, a project that he is involved with that is a sustainable community for homeless veterans of the U.S. military.
Sadler relocated to Asheville in 2010 to be Nauhaus, a part of a prototype for green home building. He currently serves on the City of Asheville's Zero Waste Committee, the Transit Commission Budget Committee, and the Education Cluster of the Food Asheville/Buncombe Food Policy Council, is the outreach coordinator for Veterans Helping Veterans, a local non-profit, and is Sales manager for a
solar manufacturing company.
There will be a discussion period following the presentation. Following the meeting, there will be time for informal conversation and light refreshments. All are welcome!
