New Years Resolution: Thinking RATIONALLY About YOURSELF and Your Health

How we REALLY FEEL about ourselves, our bodies is subconscious and varies greatly from time to time. How we care for our bodies is usually based on emotion. (For example, exercise hurts and I don’t feel like it right now, but meth is fun. But that is a short trip to bad trouble.)

Therefore, basing self-care behavior on emotions is not a good plan. It is fine to pick a movie according to your mood, but your health is simply too important to be left to emotions in the moment.

But if I can’t trust myself to take care of my body, what can I base my actions on? How about REASON?  But reason is only the handmaiden of emotion and it has to be watched very carefully. Let us clean that mess up a little.

Let us think rationally about our actions that care for our bodies.
