What we're about

This is a group for anyone who is interested in coming together with others to explore some of the great mindfulness teachings and how to integrate them into our lives for increased healing, growth, and joy.

The first book we began exploring is entitled, What is in the Way Is the Way, by Mary O'Malley. Other authors we will explore include Pema Chodron, Adyashanti, Echart Tolle, and other Mindfulness teachers and books that lend themselves well to circle discussion. We will read one chapter a week then bring our experiences, thoughts, feelings, and questions about what we have read into group. We will begin the group with a check in and a 15 minute mindfulness meditation.

This group meets weekly each Sunday from 4 to 5:30 PM in room #1 at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Eugene at 1685 W 13th Ave. The suggested donation is $5 (no one turned away) to cover room rental and Meetup fee.

Please call or text Celeste at 541-799-5289 or email her at celestewalker1@yahoo.com if you have any questions and/or if you are planning on attending so I will know how many to expect. When I hear from you, I will also give you the door code so you can let yourself in.

I'm so looking forward to seeing you all in circle! Let's create a special space to support each other and ourselves in moving further toward our goals of awakened living. : )

Warmly,

Celeste

A Journey Into Mindfulness With Inspiring Teachers Of Our Time

Unitarian Universalist Church

We are a group of folks that see the value of living our lives more mindfully and want to gather together to share and support each other in this great adventure! This week we will gather to discuss Chapter 2 of Tara Brach's book, Radical Acceptance: Embracing Your Life with the Heart of a Buddha Bring your experiences, thoughts, feelings, comments, and questions to share or just sit in circle and soak in the mindful reflection. You may attend even if you have not read the book to see if this group interests you. If it does feel like a good fit for you, then you can purchase the book and catch up with the group. If you have any questions, you can email Sumitra at [masked] or call her at[masked]. See you in Circle! Some prompts for sharing: 1. How did you apply what you read this week? How did that effect your experience? 2. What stood out to you in this chapter? (You may share or read a portion of the reading in group that you found especially meaningful.) 3. Any general questions, thoughts, or comments about mindfulness or the chapter? 4. Share your experiences of the exercises. Any insights? questions?
