  • Kickoff Mozilla Global Sprint in Eugene

    Kickoff for the Mozilla Global Sprint for Internet Health aka #mozsprint Local Mozillians Sam Foster, Josh Marinacci and Mark Davis with help from local Open Leaders Emily Clyde, Jessica Bobrowski and Kimberlee Trim will go over the basics of setting up a project for success using the POP below: Purpose To help local open source projects in Eugene, OR gain visibility and traction from the greater open source community. Outcome local open source projects have a clear paths to collaboration and have gained new collaborators. Process * Project maintainers bring open source projects to the launch event * Presenters talk about things like readme's, contributor guides, milestones, issues, and roadmaps. * Projects add issues for missing bits and labeled with "mozsprint" and "openeugene" * Repo given topics of "openeugene" and "mozsprint" to participate in the * Project maintainers bring stories to the finishing event and share.

  • CodeChops Open House and Portal to RIO!

    Code Chops

    The Innovation Hubs CodeChops and Mindworks are working on a cultural exchange program with sister hubs and spaces in beautiful Rio de Janeiro Brazil! At NOON, we'll open up our "Portal to Rio" across the Fiber connection. We'll also have an Open House thru the afternoon with some simple nosh and beverages. We'll give some overviews of all the programs going on in the spaces.

    Hack4Cause is This week and teams are forming, volunteers are volunteering and there's an electricity in the air. What a magical time to be alive! https://hackforacause.org/ Sit down with some of the folks making the event happen: Tech mentors, challenge sponsors, team leaders, and participants (like yourself?). Launching a civic project takes a diverse team that include designers, product owners, and good communicators.
