What we're about

We are always looking to make new friends for regular cards and/or board games in our home. We are happy to host, have a nice table for gaming and are social drinkers if people are interested in drinks (non smokers please). We are open to playing a lot of different games but our favorites are cards (Phase 10, Pinochle, Hearts or Spades, trump style card games), co-op board games (Pandemic, Gloomhaven, Mysterium, Betrayal at House on the Hill, etc), competitive board games (Ticket to Ride, Killer Bunnies, etc) or even trading card games like Magic the Gathering if it's casual and sealed style where everyone is on equal footing. Warning, we tend to be irreverent and adult humored. Please do not be easily offended.

Unfortunately our first adventure together didn't go EXACTLY as planned. Technical difficulties set us back about a half hour and then I ended up rushing my own set up in hopes that we could still squeeze in our first encounter and see how we perform together as a group. I feel pretty bad about letting everyone down considering how much time I spent preparing so we could get off to a great start. Fortunately it did sound like everyone is willing to keep giving it a chance. In fact, it seems like most of us were willing to carve out an hour and a half session on a week night coming up to finish that first encounter and kind of catch up to where I hoped we would have finished our first session. I think Angie said she couldn't play in the evening until after the 26th so I'm going to schedule something for the 29th and mark you all as going. If you cannot attend please let me know and I'll move you to not going and decide what we want to do from there. Also, I think I found the issue with map pins such that I can reveal the text to you for places you have visited before. If you cannot make this date/time please indicate the next weeknight that you COULD make it work and I'll attempt to reschedule everyone for that.

Non-tabletop game night for our ‘tabletop’ group

Lake Stevens

Bring your favorite game that doesn’t have to be played around a table. Things like Scene It, Telestrations, even Cranium. This will allow us to play a single large group game and will save me from having to re-arrange furniture 😁

Games that Make You Laugh

Marysville

Let's play some social games like charades, guesstures, pictionary, etc. If you have a game that will get everyone laughing bring it!!! Due to Covid concerns, however, we're limiting attendance to our regular attendees. We'll have some beverages but feel free to bring whatever munchies you like. No alcohol allowed, though.

Competitive Board or Card Game Evening

Lake Stevens

It's a competitive board or card game evening - Stone Age, Five Tribes, Ticket to Ride (Ron does not have to play this), Querkle, Wingspan...; or Five Hundred, Hand and Foot or Pinochle. We will decide who wants to play what and can have two or three tables going. Regulars only please due to COVID 19 social distancing for health and safety. Please bring your own beverage and if you want a snack or treat to share with others. We will provide snacks and treats too. Alcohol in moderation is okay.
