Training- Track Session

Usual wednesday track session which is proving so popular, however note the change of venue to Charléty (access: RER B Cité universitaire, or metro Porte d'orléans and either run down Boulevard Jourdan or take the tram to Charléty).

As of last week, Emile Antoine was still closed until further notice...

As always we will have 2 or 3 exercises to do, depending on how we are all feeling and what we want to do.

Then 15mins of stretching which is oh so important.

We will meet out the front of the complex (on ave Pierre de Coubertin by the bike racks), then go through to the track together.

You can leave a bag near the track while you run and bringing water is always a good idea.

Hi, what sort of pace do you run? Is this group suitable for a 6.5/7 min per km runner?

Hi Rose, this session is open to all levels and abilities, please come check it out! Everyone runs intervals at their own pace and we regroup after each exercise. There's always a variety of paces.

May I ask how long is the program usually?

Vince, we usually run for about an hour or maybe a little over an hour.

Just realised I can't be there, Blythe - over to you to show everyone what VMA (V02 max) is.
FYI last week we did 7 Yassos and the 'Yasso' style session is in fact a workout aimed at increasing the V02Max

P.S. If you're not exactly sure what VMA is: la VMA est la vitesse de course atteinte lorsque la consommation d’oxygène devient maximale.

Hey, as one of our ever brilliant track activities (our 9-11 session was great!), would you guys be interested in doing an exercise that will let you calculate your VMA? I'll bring the exercise/formula just in case... Running magazines go on and on about VMA and knowing yours is supposed to help you set realistic race goals and train for these goals properly.
