All good things must come to an end

Hi All,

I have an important announcement that needs a little explaining first...

My spiritual interests have shifted pretty dramatically the last few months, beginning with an intense and disconcerting meditation I experienced at the end of April. It showed me that I still have a lot of unanswered questions concerning my True Self. I have come to understand that to really make progress on the spiritual path, one needs focus and consistent, concerted effort. With this in mind, I am simplifying my practice down to the bare bones. I've long preached that the intellectual mind is more often a hindrance than a help on the spiritual path, and it's time I walk the talk, so to speak.

All this to say that this meetup group is cancelled, effective immediately. I do invite everyone, however, to join a Yahoo group that I created. If you've enjoyed getting the occasional notices of interesting events in the DC area, then join this group and I will post event info from time-to-time. It's called DCSpiritual and here's the link:

It's been a pleasure meeting so many of you and sharing insights, tears, and joy. I hope you've found the meetups useful to your spiritual development. My intention all along has been to hold up a mirror for each of you to look into and see that it is none other than the Divine Creator himself/herself looking back.

In gratitude,

- John V. Love
