Phillip Trelford - F# eye for the C# guy

Phillip Trelford has kindly agreed to come down to Cambridge for the first Cambridge DDD Nights talk.

Phil has a couple of talks for us and in the style of DDD we'd like to put the them to a vote:

Option 1 - F# eye for the C# guy

Option 2 - F# in the Enterprise

The poll can be found here:

http://www.meetup.com/CambridgeDDDNights/polls/979022/

We'll be providing some ale and pizza after the talk, so we hope you can stick around afterwards and enjoy some of the finest real ale in Cambridge with a slice of authentic Italian pizza.

The function room is upstairs, so please ask at the bar if you can't find us.

Thanks and hopefully see you there.

    Thank you all for coming.

If you're looking for a low impact way to introduce F# to your company than take a look at canopy:

I've written a little install script so you can easily play with it outside of Visual Studio:

I have indications that Jetbrains will provide a free license to one lucky person. All you have to do is tweet to our twitter tag (TBC) on the night, and the best tweet will be awarded the prize. More details to follow....

I've seen Phil's "F# Eye for the C# Guy" talk before - it's excellent. I'll give up my space to someone on the waiting list. Dave, Jon, could we catch up in the pub beforehand, or perhaps via email?
