Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary

FORMERLY Bruce Vento EcoStewards What we'll do: We are holding drop-in events to assist in restoration of Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary. All tools will be provided. No experience is necessary- this is a great activity for anyone who wants to get outside, explore a new park and learn about restoring our natural areas. Join us on your way home from work! Who: Individuals or small groups of all ages Why: Explore a new park, give back to the community, be outside and meet awesome people! Meeting Location: Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary (293 Commercial St, Saint Paul 55106). Map of the meeting location (https://goo.gl/GwPaKs) When: * Tuesday, September 10 | 5:30-7:30 pm * Saturday, September 21 | 9:00-11:00 am more dates listed in the registration page below Registration: Pre-registration is appreciated. Register here (www.stpaul.gov/enviro-volunteer-events) as this will help us determine the amount of supplies we need to bring each week. Seed Squad

Phalen Lakeside Activity Center

These volunteer events will be "drop-in" style, so you are not obligated to stay the entire time. No experience necessary. Who: Seed Squad volunteers are individuals or small groups who harvest native seed from some of our high quality natural areas. Why: Explore a new park, give back to the community, be outside and meet awesome people! The collected seed will later be sown and/or propagated and planted to increase plant diversity for wildlife and pollinators. Meeting Location: Lakeside Activity Center (1530 Phalen Dr) Registration: Pre-registration is appreciated. Register at http://bit.ly/seedsquad2019 What to bring: Must wear closed toed shoes and long pants. You will be working outside so please make sure you dress for the weather.
