Beautiful night. The weather wasn't as bad as it sounded. Good practice shooting in the dark.

A fun shoot on a cold night! It was really not bed. Lots of photographers seemed to have a good time.

    January 16, 2014

    • Meagan W.

Thank you Kathryn! Please bring extra. What a great help!

Kathryn. Things have changed for me and I won't be able to make it. I am grateful for your generosity in offering to lend me your remote. Can't wait to see the photos from this meetup!

Any suggestions for protecting camera from condensation when going inside to warm up? especially if taking it inside to check pics? Hoping to park close enough to Leave it in car trunk when i go inside.. but if not that.. any other ideas?

    January 24, 2014

    • Art S.

I think they say you should take the lens off the camera and put each in a "freezer" bag in the trunk. If you want to view images on a SD or CF card you can bring the card inside and check them out on my Epson Viewer. More suggestions...please...

Have you ever wondered what Winston took photo's of when he wasn't working with N&W? If you are able, I welcome everyone to attend our exhibition openings this evening as well to find out! 7-9pm, free to Exposure Roanoke members!

    January 24, 2014

  • Mike M.

See everyone this evening! Bundle up and remember your cold weather photo gear! We'll have plenty of warm libations from Mill Mountain to keep us thawed (Hot Chocolate & Cider for those of us non-coffee drinkers)!

Sorry to miss this. Looks like fun, but I'll be out of town this weekend. Looking forward to seeing your photos!

Temperatures will probably keep me home as well. I've been fortunate enough to have taken many night shots of 1218 and the cold is a real discouragement for this opportunity. Good luck to all!

Where does one park when visiting the museum?

    January 23, 2014

    • Art S.

Mike, You can park behind the museum (beside the tracks) or on the street (next to the Hotel Roanoke) or in the pay parking lot (of the Hotel Roanoke). There should be plenty of free spots botween the tracks and the museum or beyond the back side of the museum just under the bridge.

Sorry Folks, changing my mind on attending because of the temperatures. I've been working outside in this cold for a week, don't want to spend any more time outside than I have to right now.

Hello. Is space limited at this event? I'd love to come out, but as a new member and complete novice, I don't want my attendance to be at someone else's expense. Thank you!

    January 21, 2014

    • Art S.

Alex, I agree with Steve - here is an announcement of this event which is open to the public: (https://www.facebook.c...) the only difference being that the charge for the public is $25 and for Exposure Roanoke members it is only $20 (see you there :-)
