How ESC works -

ESC is a non-profit BMC affiliated club. We aim to break even over the year and for most events we don't charge at all. Many members organise their own events via our Facebook page, and if you want to do something your welcome to post on their to find like minded people to join you.

Costs (such as Meetup) are mostly covered by club membership fees of £20 a year. Membership is optional for you, but essential for the club to keep running. Membership also covers your BMC membership and insurance and provides discounts at a wide range of outdoor stores. BMC insurance is essential if you climb outside with us, although your first two trips are covered under the BMC "prospective member" rules.

If you want to join up to become a full member with all of the benefits just click on the link on our website here: (

The club is run by a committee elected every January, and membership runs from 1st of January every year.
