77 Cecil Street
Our main regular meetup! Every Wednesday from 7 we all get together for a chilled out climbing session.
On your own? Perfect! You'll meet plenty of new people to climb with across a wide range of ability levels. We'll make sure you have someone to climb with- For odd numbers we climb as a 3 until someone else comes along, and we often swap belayers throughout the night so you get chance to meet everyone - its well attended to there will be lots of people to meet!
Not climbed before or can't belay? No problem, just let us know in advance and we'll help you out. We'll only teach belaying as a taster session - if you like it then we ask you to either get lessons or join the club.
After climbing we usually go for a quick drink at the Bull around the corner and plan the next adventure!

How ESC works
ESC is a non-profit BMC affiliated club. We aim to break even over the year and for most events we don't charge at all. Many members organise their own events via our Facebook page, and if you want to do something your welcome to post on their to find like minded people to join you.
Costs (such as Meetup) are mostly covered by club membership fees of £20 a year. Membership is optional for you but essential for the club to keep running. It also covers your BMC insurance and provides discounts at a wide range of outdoor stores. BMC insurance is essential if you climb outside with us
The club is run by a committee elected every January, and membership runs from 1st of January every year.
