Ultimate FRIZZZZZbee! (with the Summer BBQ at Kits Beach!)

A few of us are getting together at Kits Point at Kits Beach (near the picnic tables) for Ultimate Frisbee.

We have combined this day's FRiZ event with the BBQ event!
The page for the BBQ event is --> HERE <--

We'll have a few frisbees so we can practice, and all games are for FUN. We'll keep score, but points are not important, FUN and FRIENDSHIPS are!!

Everyone is welcome to join, no matter your ability to play!

• You may want to bring a water bottle.

We'll be here..
Kits Point at Kits Beach (near the picnic tables).. where little Tommy's hanging out!

5 Simple Ultimate FRIZ* Rules

Here are basic rules for the game.
Everyone must know: Ultimate is a non-contact sport.

The Field: Rectangular field of varying lengths/widths depending on how many people are playing (though the 'real' rules have the field at a specific length and width).

Starting Play: Each team lines up on their own end zone line at the beginning of a point. Once both teams have indicated that they are ready to start, the defense throws the frisbee to the other team.

Scoring: Throw the frisbee to a teammate who is already in the other team's end zone.  Play is then restarted at the team's respective end zones.

Frisbee Movement: The player with the frisbee cannot move around the field, except for the use of a pivot foot. The disc can only be moved elsewhere on the field through a pass to a teammate, and must be done within ten seconds. The defender guarding the person with the frisbee does the counting ("10, 9, 8, ..").

Change of Possession: If a pass goes out of bounds, is dropped, blocked, or intercepted (caught by the other team) it is considered a turnover. The defense immediately becomes the offense and can take the frisbee.

*not this kind of FRIZzy hair..

Hey Marc, sorry to complicate mattera, but if the BBQ gets cancelled because the weather is not nice enough, will you be moving the Friz event back to Slocan (assuming that it's not pouring rain)?

Marc, are you going to change the location of this event to Kits beach or do you have super powers that Tommy Myrtle has bestowed upon you that allow you to be in two places at one time?

Thanks for rsvp'ing, Maxine, and welcome to the group!
You'll enjoy yourself 'cause we focus less on the points and more on fun.
We have a range of levels from noObs to great players, and everyone treats everyone else as equals.
We look forward to seeing you on the green for tons of fun! ~:0)
