Last minute opportunity for a fun evening of night photography. I have a few spaces left for a workshop I'm doing Sunday night at Centennial Olympic Park starting at 5pm. We'll be going over general composition rules and will then be diving into the dark - literally.
Students will gain experience with techniques for effective night photography as well as capturing the rapidly changing light at sunset. As it gets darker we'll be learning about long exposures, light painting, and we may even create a "ghost" or two :)
In addition to the image capture techniques, we'll also be looking at how to effectively use the ambient light and how you can turn low light challenges into creative images.
We'll have a great view from the park of the surrounding buildings, many of which light up at night, and we'll have an opportunity to practice capturing light trails from passing cars and other "special effects" with light and long exposures.
It is going to be a bit chilly out there so please dress accordingly. Also, since we'll be doing long exposures it is STRONGLY recommended that you bring a tripod (if you have a "cable release" or "remote release" bring that too).
Sorry for the short notice - I had some openings in the class and wanted to let y'all know as soon as possible.
