Friday Night Bible Study

Isn't it interesting that many our prayers are meant to "convince" God that a particular course in life that we've chosen is best for us!

In Psalms 139:17-18 we are reminded, "How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!".  If we believe this, then should we worry whether He is doing "right" by us or should we be asking for "heaven's perspective" on the matter?

In Hebrews 11:1-2 we are told,  "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen".  If we are truly a "purchase of Christ", it is reasonable for Him to expect us to renew our mind to be like-minded with Him i.e. that we change OUR perspective to His!

BTW, I've looked back over my life and thanked God for my prayers that He DID NOT answer!

Welcome to Friday Night Bible study.  We will continue our study in the Book of Acts, chapter 12.  In our last study, we saw the church at Jerusalem praying intently for Peter.  We also observed the depth of their faith when Peter showed up at their door!  Wasn't it reassuring!?  Wasn't the Lord mindful of us and our faith when He authored this chapter?

In preparation for the study, please read Chapter 12.

In order to help us prepare the fellowship meal, would you please RSVP by Friday AM.

We will meet in our home.  Address is as follows:
