Open Forum Q&A Session for all WordPress users. Get help with blogging, posts, pages, images (media) uploads, modifying themes, adding widgets, menus, custom styles, theme modifications, updating WordPress, themes, and plugins, modifying WordPress, choosing plugins and themes, hosting, backing up, page and post titles, slugs, etc. Please bring a list of your questions. If your question relates to the admin section of WordPress, please bring your laptop and log in so we can help you right then. The Destin Library offers a wide range of services, one of them being the awesome meeting room and internet they offer to our WordPress Meetup Group free of charge. Using a Child Theme is the smart and simple way to modify theme files and achieve the look you're going for on your WordPress website. We'll showcase the simple setup for child themes. Don't let your theme changes be overwritten by a theme update!! Create and install your own Child Theme! Hands-on assistance will be given at the end of the presentation as time permits.

Our members are bloggers, new users, graphic designers with basic HTML and CSS skills, developers new to WordPress, and experienced WordPress developers. Our meetup location sponsor this month is Destin Library. The Destin Library encourages WP Meetup Members to make use of the library’s other resources while they’re here. The Library has more than just books! Okaloosa County property owners and permanent renters can apply for an Okaloosa County Public Library Cooperative library card at no cost. Property owners will need to provide staff with a valid photo ID; renters will need to bring a valid photo ID and either a copy of their lease or a utility bill (power, water, cable). With proper documentation they can receive active library cards for every member of their household. Out-of-county residents can purchase a membership to the Okaloosa County Public Library Cooperative for $36 per family annually. With the payment of that annual fee they can receive active library cards for every member of their household.
