Tis the season, and if local Hawaiian items are on your ‘gifts to purchase’ list – this is the place to make it happen! One-stop Christmas shopping! Feel free to wear red and/or green as we make a festive event of checking off items on our Christmas shopping list! Singing Christmas carols is optional ;)
This is where the locals shop for the best deals in town. From their website: 400 local merchants offer the best value on imported merchandise, handmade items, eclectic art pieces, popular local snacks, and other made in Hawaii products. This is sure to be your one stop destination to find that special gift or souvenir for everyone on your list.
What you’ll find: just about everything, from Aloha shirts to used surfboards. You’ll also find a wide variety of Hawaiian jewelry, handbags, locally designed and designer knockoff clothes, martial art weapons, house hold items, local artwork, hibiscus printed luggage, and just about EVERYTHING Hawaiian - includingt-shirts, key chains and fridge magnets!
Wear good walking shoes, apply sunscreen, maybe bring (or buy!) a hat, and bring your own bag. FYI the stadium parking area is huge! Pay attention to where you enter, where you parked (take a picture on your phone of the section where you parked) and where you are going when you leave. Or you may end up walking around for an hour looking for your car - not that I ever did that my first time there ;)
Admission: $1 per person
Lunch afterwards at Dixie Grill! (half a mile away) – unless you have another suggestion? If so, please post in comments.
Carpool from Kunia Walmart upper level, we’ll meet there at 9am. Anyone want to carpool from points east? If so, please post in comments.
Look forward to seeing you there!
